Food Attitude
Instead of calling the leftovers "Leftovers," I say we should have a better attitude toward our residual food. For example, on Monday we had sweet and sour chicken for dinner. And tonight we might have sweet and sour chicken reprise. The first meal becomes a long adjective, and the entire meal is called a reprise instead of leftover. And like in plays or movies, when songs are reprised, they are usually good songs in the first place. This was good food. "Leftovers" puts too much emphasis on the fact that it is not new food and not enough emphasis on the fact that it was worth having the first time. And besides, if you pan-heat the food instead of microwaving it, I find it feels a lot less like "leftovers," anyhow.

But look at it the other way. The food wasn't so good the first time that you finished it all. You made it halfway through the meal and thought, "Eh, I think I've had all I want for tonight. We can try again later." Just sayin.
There is a cook named Robin Miller, and her big thing is cooking double batches of stuff (like 4 lbs of chicken instead of 2, etc), and then "re-purposing" the extras for an additional meal later in the week.
And also, the microwave is the lowest form of "cooking" and automatically decreases food-value. Blech.
I guess the main difference is that all the meals we make are awesome. (OH SNAP)
Haha re-purposing, I like that!
Yeah...microwaving. Good for instant oatmeal. Also good in a pinch. Otherwise, bleh.
