Mike's mom bought me two blank journals/sketchbooks for Christmas and while I really like both of them, I hadn't used either until last night. I took the larger one and drew some simple line designs in it and also wrote about my high school art experience. It was fun. That one may not exclusively be a sketchbook, but for now, that's what it is.
I'd love to provide images of the books I checked out from the library yesterday, but I'm tired of citing stuff, so you just get links:
The Little Book of Atheist Spirituality
Same Difference: How Gender Myths are Hurting Our Relationships, Our Children, and Our Jobs
The only atheist book I've ever read was The God Delusion, and I only read 80-some pages of that one. I'm expecting something completely different from this atheist tome, and I also expect to disagree with whatever the author has to say. I find it funny that this book even exists, as though atheists have other things in common besides the lack of belief in a supreme personal being. But maybe I'll be surprised.
How can I not read this gender book? I don't know what else to say about it.
Mike also checked out Freakonomics, which I'm looking forward to stealing every now and then because I've wanted to read that one for a while now.

i haven't read the god delusion yet (planning to at some point) but Finding Darwan's God is a great book about how religion and evolutionary theory are not mutually exclusive. the author is a cellular biologist who is also catholic. :-) just a thought for ya.
